Tags & Bags (8)

For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.

This week is all about bags. Well packaging that looks like a bag.

Today's bag brings us back to The Stamp Market.

For this bag I actually used the same die I used on Monday but I got a completely different look by changing a few things up. Instead of making a flat bag I gave this one some dimension with some simple scoring lines. Basically I took the Reverse Confetti  Winter Solstice 6x6 paper pad and cut the handle portion out of the top. I determined how much space was on either side and that was where I scored it on both sides of the bag panels and on the bottom.

Once the scoring was done on both panels and in all three places I took one panel and cut a small sliver off each side and the bottom to make for an easier fit. I secured the bag together with some super strong double sided tape and my bag was ready to go.

Grabbing the No Peeking stamp set I stamped the holly leaves in Just Green ink by Altenew two times and die cut them out. Needing to add some berries I dug out my enamel dots and added three in red for a nice addition to the leaves. Added a little tissue paper from the Target dollar bins and a small clothes pin and I was done.

Again not sure what I would put in it, but I just love it so much I don't really care.

What would you put in a bag this size?

Stay tuned tomorrow for bag 4.
