Tags & Bags (6)

For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.

This week is all about bags. Well packaging that looks like a bag.

First up, the one that inspired this feature.

When I made my second purchase from The Stamp Market, the first item I put in my cart was the Gift Bag and Tags die. I honestly wasn't quite sure what I was getting but I knew I wanted it. When it came I was surprised but in love. For today's bag I used the single edge die and created an A2 (standard card size) bag out of Tonic Burnished Rose Mirror card stock.

Once the bag was put together I needed a tag. I looked through my holiday products and came across a new-ish purchase, the No Peeking stamp bundle from who else but The Stamp Market. Grabbing my trusty Altenew ink from the Cherry Blossom mini setPinkalicious I stamped the candy cane and die cut it out.

I still felt like the bag needed something so I went back to my stash. I searched and searched and finally came across the perfect accessory, Papertrey Ink's Snowfall Style 2 die. Using the Rose Gold ribbon from The Stamp Market and a tiny clothes pin from my stash my bag was complete.

I love this bag so much. I figure it can be used for a gift card if you put it in tissue paper and can pull it right out, or I used it to gift the tags I made last week to a friend.

What kind of bags do you like making?

Stay tuned tomorrow for bag 2.
