Tags & Bags (1)

For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.

First up we are starting with my favorite of the ones I have made so far:

I was scrolling Instagram, as one does, looking for inspiration and I came across a picture posted by Diana (diana_jk). I was immediately in love with her use of the Lawn Fawn String of Lights die. Having purchased this die just this year I had only used it once and this was the perfect opportunity to do it again.

First I die cut the large tag from The Stamp Market Tag'd Stamp & Cut Bundle out of Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock. for a tag, unless you are reinforcing it with more paper the heavier the weight of the card stock the better. Once I had my tag ready I moved on to the color for the bulbs. I scoured my scraps and came across my favorite color of Gina K. card stock in Lipstick (sadly I don't know what the color of the strand is). And lastly I grabbed my trusted silver glitter card stock from Simon Says Stamp for the fastener and the tops of the bulbs.

After everything was die cut I used Gina K. liquid glue (very, very small dots on the green strand) to adhere everything. And to top it off I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Tiny Words Christmas (one of my favorite sets!).

No joke, I love this so much I want to make a bunch of them in all of the colors. Maybe even in glitter card stock!

What kind of tags do you like for the holidays? Do you make them ot buy them? Or are you just a fan of the sticker kind? Tell me in the comments below.

Stay tuned tomorrow for another Tags & Bags post.
