Tags & Bags (4)

For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.

Today's tag is one of my favorites and it was so easy to make!

I came up with the idea for today's tag when I was making postcards and cards for a friend. I had been using the Papertrey Ink Corner Adorner Light Strands and the idea to make a tag came to me. I pulled out my trusty large tag die from the Tag'd Stamp & Cut Bundle by The Stamp Market to get my tag ready and then I started stamping.

First I used Altenew's Just Green from the Green Meadows set to stamp the strands using my Misti. Having left my stamp where it was in the Misti I then stamped over the Just Green with VersaMark ink and coated it with Ranger Clear Embossing powder and melted that with my heating tool.  Once that was done I was able to pick my colors. Staying on color theme I grabbed Sweet Leaf (from the same set), Pinkalicious from the Cherry Blossom set, and Coral Bliss from the Tea Party Mini set and started stamping.

After the stamping was complete I decided to use Tonic Crystal Glaze to add some lift and shine to each light. And finally the same Simon Says Stamp glitter card stock I have been using for everything.

Truly this tag was a joy to make and could be made in so many colors. And you can easily save time by not using the Crystal Glaze or the clean embossing.

Do you mass produce any tags?

Stay tuned tomorrow for Holiday Tag #5.
