Tags & Bags (9)

For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.

This week is all about bags. Well packaging that looks like a bag.

The next bag in our journey looks like the one from Monday, but I promise this isn't.

Like I mentioned earlier this week the bag I made from th Gift Bag and Tags die from The Stamp Market is what inspired this journey so I used it again. Since I had only used one half of the Tonic Burnished Rose Mirror card stock from the first project, I took the other die in the set and made this gift card holder.

Once the bag was assembled I took the tag die and cut it out of some 110 lb Neenah Solar White card stock so it was nice and sturdy. Since the tag itself is fairly small I had to really look for the right stamp set. I looked and looked and nothing jumped out at me. And then I remembered the My Monthly Hero card kit I got in November from Hero Art. These little stamps were pefrect for the mini tag.

Grabbing my favorite Altenew inkPinkalicious I stamped the tiny present and used black ink to stamp the small sentiment. Knowing I wanted something else added I took the tree from the No Peeking stamp bundle and stamped it with  Sweet Leaf. I die cut that out and attached with a mini clothespin from The Paper Source.

I'm not going to lie, I love mini gift card holders and I love this little guy. It can easily be used for holidays or birthdays, you just need to change the tags.

What do you make for gift card holders?

Stay tuned tomorrow for bag 10 and the last day of the feature.
