Simple Holiday Cards

Last year I sent out holiday cards for the first time in forever and it made me feel accomplished. I kept them pretty basic and simple, the style of card I personally like to make, so this year I thought I would do the same thing. I played around with a stamp last night and I found the most on brand design I could imagine.

Anyone that knows me knows I love flamingos! I have them in my office, in my house, as a wallpaper on my iPad. They just make me so happy with their awkwardness and pinkness. Well this year in my craft shopping (basically everyday life), I came across a Flora and Fauna Mini Desert Flamingo stamp set and I needed it.

The stamp set is tiny, a 2 x 3 set with 4 mini stamps. When I saw it I wasn't sure what I would do with it so I just stamped the flamingo down to right center, and colored it in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in Pale Pink and Pink Flamingo for the flamingo and Pale Gray for the shadow. When I was happy with the blending I needed to find the perfect sentiment.

I looked through my stash pretty thoroughly and almost wanted to give up on the design. Nothing seemed to fit the idea. And then I saw the Concord and 9th O Christmas Tree set on my desk that I was planning to use for something else. It all just clicked there and in the end I had the most on brand holiday card ready for 2018.

So what do you think of my Flamingo Holiday Card? So me, right?
