For the holidays I make a lot of cards. Whether they are cards I send out, cards a friends or coworker asks me to make or cards I sell in my Etsy shop, I make a lot of cards from September to December. What I don't make enough of is packaging. I never seem to make the cute tags or adorable bags I have the supplies for. Well recently I fell in love with The Stamp Market and they sell quite a few products that made me want to make the cute things I never do and so I bring you my first blog features, Tags and Bags.
Today's tag is a fun and easy one that you can throw together in no time.
For this final tag of the week I decided to stick to one stamp set. I went through my stash to see what would fit on the large tag die from the Tag'd Stamp & Cut Bundle by The Stamp Market. I came across one that is fairly new to me and I had only used once, the Fa La La stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps. The Ho Ho Ho is large so it covered most of the tag which was perfect. All I had to do was stamp it with Ruby Red Altenew Ink from the Red Cosmos mini ink pack.
Once the sentiment was in place I stamped the bulb outline. I decided to keep them as is to give the tag a black and white and red color scheme. In the future I may decided to stamp the bottom of the bulb in green to really make them pop. After the stamping was done I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to make each light sparkle.
I still felt like the lights were missing something so I did what I did on yesterday's tag and used Tonic Crystal Glaze to add some lift and shine to each light. And of course I finished it off with Simon Says Stamp glitter card stock.
There you have 5 tags for the week.
And here is a bonus birthday one I created too.
Which if the 5 tags I created is your favorite?
Stay tuned next week for the bag portion of Tags & Bags.
